Welcome to the Global Football System team,

Coach education and player development is a priority for our coaching team. Our sport is fun, safe, active and most importantly can be enjoyed by players of all ages and all abilities. It is because of this reason that the sport that we love so much has experienced a huge growth at all levels.

To inspire and challenge players to improve, coaches and parents need tips and tricks used by professional football educators. GFS is everything a coach and a player needs in the development of football excellence. "The football field is our classroom" and the "players our students" and it is our responsibility to create an environment that positively affects performance for all players.

Our aim is to create a community that enjoys a sport that is bonded by the passion of football.

MMFC ACADEMY

Coaching at MMFC

Our club has for some time been looking at ways we can assist our coaches to enhance the quality of coaching in particular the junior teams. We are delighted to be able to advise that we have taken two important steps in this regard:

Coaching Co-ordinator: Sherrie Eagles has volunteered to perform this new role at the club.

We are developing how the role works however in essence Sherrie will help bring to coaches ideas, concepts, experiences that will help us all improve our coaching ability.

This will include coordinating coaching courses both official and club sponsored

and making it easy to access the broad range of coaching concepts and drills that can be found in publications and on the internet etc.

This role will also help co-ordinate the interaction between the clubs Head Coach and team coaches.

Club Head Coach: Stephane Jee has agree to act in this role this year.

Stephane has a distinguished playing history having represented NSW and Australia in teams up to U20s.

He holds instructor level coaching qualifications and has an extensive coaching history.

While a club head coach role could include many different things we have committed to

the following with Stephane for the 2010 season.

Miranda Magpies Football Academy: Aimed at U7 to U12 players with groups running as follows:
   Group 1:   U7 - U9    5.30pm to 6.30pm.
Group 2:  U10 - U12  6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Proposed commencement date: Tuesday 20th April running for 12 weeks.

Cost $5 per player per session, paid upfront for the number of sessions .

(This charge is designed to partially cover MMFC running costs only)

Focus: Fun games, individual technique, passing and receiving, finishing at Goal, and Game play.

Each participant will receive an academy shirt.

Important: We are in the final stages of designing this training and details may change

depending on the number of participants.

We now need an idea of how many interested children we have. There will be limited spots available.

We are excited to have Sherrie and Stephane helping out this way and look forward to seeing the results. Please contact Sherrie Eagles to enquire or enrol.
