Massive Weekend Of Finals Football!

This weekend is a massive weekend for the Miranda Magpies with 1 Semi Final and 9 Preliminary Finals on the menu.

At 9:00am on Saturday it all kicks off with the 12E's playing Engadine at Canberra Road after their 6-0 semi win last weekend. They'll be looking for a Grand Final spot after losing 3-1 in Round 2 and securing a 2-2 draw in Round 11 against Engadine. At the same time over in Gymea it's our 16B's playing last weekend's rained out semi final against Cronulla RSL in a 3rd vs 4th Elimination Semi Final. They had a 2-2 draw in Round 2 before Cronulla beat them 6-4 in a 10 goal epic encounter.

At 10:00am at Kareela we have our Minor Premier W14D's playing Bonnet Bay for a Grand Final spot. Miranda won 1-0 in Round 7 and played out a 0-0 draw in Round 16. They girls have had a tremendous season and we're hoping for a huge crowd to cheer them on.

At 10:30am in Heathcote the 21E's play Barden Ridge for a Grand Final spot, following a 2-0 loss and a 1-1 draw with Barden during the season.

At 12:30pm at Solander our 15C's take on St Patricks for a Grand Final berth. Both teams only met once during the season, playing out a 1-1 draw.

Finally at 1:30pm we have our 14A's taking on arch rival Lilli Pilli for a Grand Final spot. They played 3 times in 2016 already, firstly a 1-1 draw in Round 3, before Lilli Pilli picked up two wins in Round 10 (3-0) and Round 17 (6-0).

On Sunday it kicks off at Bates Drive with the W18A's playing Bonnet Bay. Miranda won 5-2 in Round 2 before winning 2-1 in Round 7 and Round 12. The rivalry is fierce between these two teams, this will be a cracker!

At 1:00pm we have our Womens Senior A's playing Como West Jannali at Bates Drive. Miranda lost 3-0 in Round 5 before a 1-1 draw in Round 10 and a 3-1 Miranda win in Round 15. Also at 1:00pm we have our Mens 35C's taking on Bosco at Bundeena. They played out a 2-2 draw in Round 7 before a final round 1-0 heartbreaking loss. Revenge is sweet Miranda.

The final game of this massive weekend of football sees the All Age 7's take on Barden Ridge at Kareela at 2:30pm. Miranda won the only encounter this year 3-2 in Round 9 and will be looking to win again.
