CONGRATULATIONS to our very own Israel for winning a competition to be the face of Sydney FC in the new A-League season launch "You've Gotta Have A Team".
Decked out in his Miranda Magpies outfit, they recorded a TV commercial as well as meeting many stars of the A-League and W-League including Alex Brosque, Remy Siemsen and Tim Cahill.
"We're very proud of Israel, he has done a wonderful job promoting the Miranda Magpies" said Senior Vice President P.J. Sometimes you see these competitions and think "i'm not going to win" and Israel DID WIN, sending in a video showing some tricks and telling the A-League how much he loves football at the Miranda Magpies.
Israel had a great time and said "It was so amazing and I felt so unreal. I could not believe that I was playing football, with A League stars. I learny that you can do anything if you try hard and practice hard". Israel's Mum was especially proud of his efforts not only winning but being a wonderful person on the day.
Israel not only scored a Sydney FC kit, got to play with A League stars and learn about their journey to be superstars of world football but also got to interview Alex Brosque and Remy Siemsen.
"He's on the A-League website, he's on You Tube, he's on the You've Gotta Have A Team website, he's even on Sydney FC's website. What a Star!" said P.J. "And guess what? He's even on the Miranda Magpies website!"
