The NSW Government, led by Miranda local member Eleni Petinos have granted the Sutherland Shire Council 4.75 million dollars for the Seymour Shaw Park development plan, in an amazing show of generosity and commitment to the local families and sporting organisations in Miranda.

Miranda Magpies Sponsorship Manager Michael P.J. Whawell, said it was a remarkable day for the project that has been "discussed for 11 years".

"It's an amazing moment not only for Miranda Magpies Football, Cricket and Netball, but for other community stakeholders that want to see better facilities at the park. This area is a critical piece of open space that needs to be shared by all. The funding is vital to deliver a precinct that everyone can equally enjoy".
